I'm New Here
Allen Street Baptist Church

Whether you've attended church your whole life or never stepped foot in one before, we know it’s not easy visiting a church for the first time. Where do I go? Where should I park? How should I dress?  How long does it last? What about my kids?

We want your first experience at Allen Street to be relaxed, and for you and your family to enjoy the service.  So, here is some information to help you know what to expect:

WHAT TIME IS SERVICE?

Allen Street meets every Sunday with services now offered at 8:45 am and 10:30 am.  Each service last approximately 65 minutes.  We encourage you to arrive 10-15 minutes early, especially if you have young children.  This will give you plenty of time to get your children checked into Children’s Church and for you to find a good seat in padded seats prior to the service starting.

WHAT TO EXPECT

During both services we offer a fun filled, creative Allen Street Kidz for ages birth through 6th grade.  There are also adult classes offered at the 8:45 am  service for those who would like some a little extra.

WHAT SHOULD I DO WHEN I GET THERE?

When you arrive, our friendly Team will help direct you.  The main door is clearly marked and greeters are there to help you find your way.  They will be happy to direct you to the appropriate children’s area, if you have children or to the auditorium for the service.

You will receive a program on your way into the service.  This program will include message notes, important information, and a connection card, which you will turn in at the end of the service.

HOW SHOULD I DRESS?

We care more about you than with what you wear, so the dress is always casual.  At Allen Street you will find many people wearing jeans or casual slacks.  Dress how you are most comfortable, and you will fit right in .

WHAT ARE THE MESSAGES LIKE?

Our goal every Sunday is to teach the timeless truths of the Bible in a way that is engaging and applicable to your life. You will find that the messages are practical, easy to understand, and grounded in Scripture.

WHAT ABOUT THE MUSIC?

The music at Allen Street is upbeat, encouraging and honoring to God!  Allen Street

features a live band with electric guitars, bass, keyboard, drums, and brass and

woodwind every week.

WHAT’S AVAILABLE FOR MY KIDS?

Allen Street offers a safe and exciting children’s program during the worship service for your children, birth to 6th grade.    For those 2-3 years of age, we will feature a time designed for their specific needs and abilities to include fun activities, video lessons and Bible stories read.

A nursery for children birth through 3 is available at both services and includes their own time of learning with First Look.

WHAT’S AVAILABLE FOR STUDENTS?

At Allen Street we have a great group of teens who meet together on Wednesday nights for Strike Zone Student Ministries.  From 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. They have time to hang out and talk, interactive group building exercises, kickin’ music by our Strike Zone Student Band and a challenging message from our Youth Pastor.  The music, casual dress, and relaxed atmosphere during Allen Street’s Sunday services make for the perfect place for teens to worship God and grow in their faith.  For this reason, we encourage all teens to participate and serve in the main Sunday service.

More information for students at ABC is available here.

WHAT’S AVAILABLE DURING THE WEEK?

During the week, Allen Street meets as Growth Groups at convenient locations throughout Clinton.  Growth Groups are groups of 15 or so people who meet together to study the Bible, grow spiritually, meet new people, and have fun.   More information about Growth Groups is available here.

We have a casual atmosphere and casual dress.  We hope you take the opportunity to visit us on a Sunday in the near future to experience ABC for yourself.
